The Sun’s sports staff selected the team based upon results from  the 2008 season.  Some athletes could have been All-Sun in more than one category, but the Sun sports staff restricted them  to only one.

Throughout the 2007-2008 school year The Sun's sports staff considered for All-Sun team inclusion the five Shawnee Mission, four Blue Valley and four Olathe high schools, as well as Bishop Miege, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. James Academy, Maranatha Academy and Kansas City Christian. The Sun's sports staff determines prior to each new school year which schools will receive All-Sun inclusion for that school year based on The Sun's circulation areas.
