Weight loss surgery auction to benefit TLC

Weight Loss Surgical Center will auction off a Lap-Band Surgery to raise money for TLC for Children and Families, which supports local abused children in need of shelter, treatment and foster care.

Anyone can bid on the surgery, which costs about $17,000, although the auction winner must meet surgical requirements. The surgery will be available for bidding until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25. To place a bid, contact Adam Yarbrough at (913) 378-2109.
