Memory Walk set for Oct. 3 in OP The Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Walk, the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research, convenes at Corporate Woods in Overland Park on Saturday, Oct. 3. Registration begins at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of Building No. 40 at Corporate Woods. The one and three-mile walks follow at 10. The champions ceremony is set for 11:30. Every 70 seconds, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Left unchecked, 16 million Americans will develop the disease, including 10 million baby boomers.
